With the start of November upon us, the male staff members of Vista Hills are once again promoting men’s health through our “Growvember” campaign.  All proceeds from our campaign go to the “Movember” Cause.  We are once again pleased to be working with our community partners from Sport Clips for this initiative.

To make it a “clean” start to the month, Mr. Oberle was helped by Jenna, the Manager of the Sport Clips location on the Boardwalk.

At Vista Hills our contributions to the “Movember” movement is a little different.

There are ten male staff members  (Mr. H, Mr. Day, Mr. Gifford, Mr. O, Mr. Karley, Mr, Cairns, Mr. McWebb, Mr. B, Mr. Spry, & Mr. Ripley) , who will spend the month growing a beard.  Starting in the middle of November, students and staff will have the opportunity to “design a mustache” for specific staff members.  Student leaders will assist homeroom classes with the collection of the donations, and with the completion of the designs.   The cost for the designs are as follows:

• $2 for one design
• $5 for three designs
• $10 for seven designs
• $12 for ten designs

The male teachers will each select their favorite design, and “Growvember Stylists” from Sport Clips will be present on Friday December 1st to make the winning designs come to life by styling the design into each of the male staff member’s beards.
