On Saturday, November 26, the WRDSB is hosting ‘Families in a Digital World ~ a Digital Citizenship Summit’ for adult family members of children attending WRDSB schools. We would like to ask for your support in reaching parents in our school community to inform them about this event.
The event is being held at Bluevale Collegiate from 8:30 to 2:00. The day includes a Keynote address by Jennifer Moss, social media expert, and co-founder of the local company Plasticity Labs, and 3 sessions with a variety of presenters offering topics of interest to families related to Digital Learning, Citizenship and Social Media use among children, youth and young adults. Presenters include local technology leaders and innovators, community members, teachers and board staff. There will also be a great lunch by EVO Kitchen, an Adult Digital Playground at lunch, and Child Care available! And …. registration is FREE!!
