Monday will be our Halloween/Book Character Dress-Up Day!!!
On Monday, students and staff will have the opportunity to participate in this activity day. However, dressing up is not expected, and wearing black and orange, or not dressing up at all, are alternatives. Families should not feel pressured to dress their children in costumes. Alternative activities planned for children who may not want to participate in these themed activities.
In the first block of the day, a costume parade will be held for students in Kindergarten to Grade 3. Student participation is voluntary, and no costume needed to join. The parade will take place after opening exercises and will conclude before the start of period 3. Junior (Grades 4-6) and intermediate (Grade 7) students who are interested will line the hallways to spectate
For parents of students choosing to wear a costume please ensure the comfort and safety of your child’s costume. We ask that the following guidelines be followed: NO MASKS (face paint is ok); NO WEAPONS; NO violence; NO blood.
Classroom teachers will be sharing with their classes these guidelines, as well as additional information specific to their individual classroom plans.
