On Friday, all the students of Vista Hills were treated to a visit by HERO the HAWK (aka Bravo) from Hawkeye Birds.

 

Dan, his handler, shared many of the special traits of the Red-tailed hawk and the Harris hawk. Connections were also made to the HERO and GEM attributes that will serve as the foundation for success for our students, staff, and parent community!  These connections included how the hawk, like us humans, uses these attributes to success and thrive.

Ask your son or daughter what HERO and GEM stand for . . . encourage them to give others “gems” through their words and their actions . . . and stay tuned for the many ways in which we will promote and celebrate these attributes.
