June 4th, 2017

As we enter this first full week of June, we look forward to the many exciting events that are upcoming.  Here is a summary:

Monday June 5 – the students from UW Engineering are here for their 2nd Consultation time with our classes / students.  We look forward to the creative designs for our Outdoor Play Space.  The 21 designs will be shared with our Outdoor Play Space Committee on Friday June 19th, with the top ten designs shared on Friday June 23rd.

 

Wednesday June 7 – Vista Hills is hosting the first-ever WRDSB TED ED Youth Talks.  We are all looking forward to these great ideas that are worth sharing!

 

Thursday June 8 – Our final flagpole ceremony and opening exercises outside (weather permitting).  This will be followed by our final HERO / GEM assembly of the school year, from 9-10am in the Gymnasium.

Friday June 9 – Our VH Walk-a-Thon fund raiser in support of our Outdoor Play Space.  Our school goal is $5000 . . . it we achieve this, some of our wonderful male staff may just show up to school in Wonder Woman costumes!  The top fund raising class from Kindergarten, Primary (gr 1-3), Junior (gr 4-6) and Intermediate (gr 7) will also win a class pizza party!

 

Pledge forms are due Friday June 9th . . . so please use this week to gather more pledges!
