Vista Hills, along with all schools in the WRDSB, will be highlighting and emphasizing Anti-Bullying Awareness by “wearing pink” for the day.

Pink Shirt Day dates back to 2007, when two high school students from Nova Scotia witnessed a younger student being bullied and threatened for wearing pink. The next day hundreds of students showed up wearing pink clothes to take a stand against the bullies.  It was this act of support from the peers, classmates, and fellow citizens that provided the inspiration for this annual event in schools across Canada.
